2025 Uniform Hero Winner Revealed at Heathrow – Samima Honoured by Mi Hub
4:51

At Mi Hub, we love celebrating the individuals who bring their uniforms – and their roles – to life every day. That’s why our Uniform Hero campaign has been such a special journey. And this April, we got to create a truly unforgettable moment.

We surprised our latest winner, Samima, at Heathrow Airport – and it was a day full of smiles, celebration, and a little bit of magic.

Armed with a big box of prizes, including a £200 voucher, the Mi Hub team arrived at Heathrow to deliver the exciting news in person. Samima’s entry blew us away with her heartfelt story about what her uniform means to her and how it reflects her pride in her role and career at Heathrow. Her passion, dedication, and warmth shone through every word.

Samima’s colleagues were just as thrilled, sharing glowing words about her impact on the team – and you can see it all for yourself.

👉 Visit Samima's winners page to watch the video, read Samima’s full entry, and see the wonderful photos and reactions from the big day.

Congratulations again to Samima – our first 2025 uniform hero!

"In terms of what Heathrow is working towards with the brand, the service, and how people feel about working at Heathrow, Samima epitomized it perfectly within her entry. It makes me super proud - the uniform is an important part of who we are, what we represent, and having a winner who embodies the spirit of our uniform is absolutely fantastic and we are really proud of Samima."

"It's phenomenal - we are so incredibly proud of Samima! It feels wonderful to be able to celebrate with her - she is so deserving."

"The fact that this Uniform Hero campaign goes out to so many companies and so many people have entered, the fact that Heathrow has been picked, and one of our colleagues who is so passionate about what she does and what she wears is truly amazing."

When do Uniform Hero submissions close?

The open call for submissions is running throughout 2025, closing on December 31st, and invites all those who wear a uniform for work to enter the campaign. Four uniform Heroes will be selected throughout the year and surprised on the job with a £200 voucher, plus more surprise goodies.

Submissions can be made at www.uniformweek.com/enter.

Tips to help your entry stand out

  • Get inspired - Take a peek at past entries and our legendary Uniform Hero winners. Who knows, you might just spot the secret sauce that turns a regular entry into pure hero material
  • Get personal - We want the real story! What does wearing your uniform mean to you? Is it a symbol of teamwork, a badge of a hard-earned achievement, or maybe it just feels like you’ve levelled up in life?
  • Get creative - Strut like you're on a catwalk! We love entries with flair - think fun videos, TikToks, and sharp, high-quality photos. Think about what’s hanging out in the background of your photos or videos! Get the lighting just right, pick the perfect angle, and give your entry the effort it deserves.

What is International Uniform Week?

International Uniform Week is the annual week-long celebration of uniforms and what wearing a uniform means to those who wear it. Each year International Uniform Week launches global uniform supplier Mi Hub's search for Uniform Heroes.

Global uniform supplier, Mi Hub launched the first annual Uniform Hero campaign and International Uniform Week in 2023 in collaboration with its family of brands, including Derby-based Dimensions, US-based Affinity, Cambuslang-based Yaffy and Bristol-based Alexandra.

The first annual celebration in 2023 saw two uniform heroes crowned and surprised on the job amongst their colleagues. Royal Mail Postie, Terence, and NHS Occupational Therapist, Emily were gifted a box of goodies including a Love to Shop voucher, a personalised Regatta jacket, a bespoke personalised teddy dressed in their uniform, and other goodies.

International Uniform Week, 12th – 18th February 2025 kicked off the search for uniform heroes earlier this year as the campaign opened for submissions. The Uniform Hero campaign seeks to recognise uniform-wearing public service figures who feel proud to represent their job and hear from those who proudly wear their uniform.

The campaign is centred around what uniform means to workers, whether it’s a sense of belonging and unity, pride in representing an organisation, or something personal to them. The campaign recognises that a uniform means something different to everyone and celebrates all unique and personal experiences.
