Mi Hub has announced that it has furthered its commitment to environmental transparency by disclosing its environmental impact through CDP, a global non-profit that runs the world’s leading environmental disclosure platform.

CDP_Discloser_2023_Stamp webMi Hub has disclosed through CDP since 2022 and in 2023 completed CDP’s climate change questionnaire.

With a record 23000+ companies disclosing through CDP in 2023, disclosing data on environmental impact is now a business norm.

Mi Hub’s data will be added to the most comprehensive inventory of self-reported environmental data in the world – helping to drive action through greater transparency.

By disclosing through CDP, Mi Hub is prepared to respond to the increasing demand for environmental transparency from financial institutions, customers and policymakers. In its disclosure, Mi Hub shared information on Mi Hub's most significant environmental aspects including energy consumption, waste generation and raw material selection.

Stephanie BarnardStephanie Barnard, Director of ESG and Risk at Mi Hub, said:

"Mi Hub’s ESG strategy is centred around four pillars, achieving carbon neutrality, minimising our environmental impact, adopting an inclusive people strategy for employees and those in our supply chain, and developing our ESG governance to build strong foundations for a responsible business.

CDP compliments three of these four pillars and allows Mi Hub to demonstrate transparency and accountability for our carbon footprint. The disclosure can be shared with our stakeholders and used to drive and demonstrate continual improvement.

The way in which the disclosure is scored highlights where Mi Hub may strengthen their approach to environmental risk management. When reviewing our 2022 disclosure, Mi Hub recognised there was an existing risk management framework which could be improved to include environmental risks. In 2023, climate risk was added to Mi Hub’s risk management framework and as such, environmental factors such as energy, waste, pollutants and legislation are considered when we review risk at both an operation and corporate level."

Sherry Madera, Chief Executive Officer at CDP, said:

“With over 23,000 businesses disclosing through CDP this year, it is clear that sustainability – and the data that underpins it - is not a ‘nice to have’, but an essential part of long-term success in the business community that is showing no sign of slowing down – nor should it.

Disclosure works, and today we should take a short pause to celebrate the dedication to transparency and accountability shown by Mi Hub reporting through CDP this year.

A 1.5-degree future is still possible if the global community works in lockstep to get there.

By sharing their environmental data with CDP, Mi Hub is starting/continuing, an environmental journey that will contribute to keeping that future in sight.”
