As full members of the ETI since 2007, we fully endorse and support their vision to act responsibly and promote decent work. Our strategy has been formulated to be consistent with the ETI Base Code. We use this as the benchmark for audit, alongside country law, and implement this into our supply chain.
The Slave Free Alliance is a social enterprise and membership initiative launched by anti-slavery charity Hope for Justice. In 2020 Mi Hub joined the Slave- Free Alliance. We recognised that we needed to be at the forefront of a global movement, demonstrating our ethical commitment to our workforce.
Mi Hub joined the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (SEDEX) in 2008 and continually monitor our supply chain, and submit relevant information through the SEDEX database. Part of the SMETA 4 pillar audit states that factories must 'measure its impacts, including continuous recording and regular reviews of use and discharge of natural resources e.g. energy use and water use' and 'make continuous improvements in their environmental performance.
BCI sourced cotton is a global approach that provides a solution that brings together farmers, ginners, traders, spinners, mills, cut & sew, manufacturers, retailers, brands, civil society and grassroots organisations in a unique global community committed to developing Better Cotton as a sustainable mainstream commodity. Responsible cotton production means the management of cotton farms in a way that maintains their biodiversity, productivity, and regeneration capacity. We expect all parties in our value chain to be progressively working towards sourcing more sustainable cotton.
