Mi ESG Hub

What is ESG?

“ESG” stands for environment, social and governance and it relates to the way in which a business runs.

Governance

Governance relates to internal policies and practices that lead to effective decision making and legal compliance.

What are we doing about ESG?

At Mi Hub, we are proud of our ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) ambitions and are continuously investing in this area; we are committed to investigating and implementing initiatives that positively impact our people and planet wherever possible.

To support our ambitious ESG strategy, Mi Hub has invested in a dedicated ESG team who is working to achieve the four pillars and hold Mi Hub accountable to maintain, achieve and launch all the initiatives against the ESG programme. The ESG team, supported by the wider business, is actioning positive change and working towards the goals, which will be achieved by developing relationships, skills and knowledge with our internal staff and external suppliers, and by building a responsible supply base, through our programmes.

Mi Hub is proud to champion ESG on every level, whether that be externally in collaboration with our clients, where we share initiatives and work together towards our goals for a sustainable future, or internally through operations, supply chain and our ESG team.

Our ESG Pillars

Mi Hub’s evolving ESG strategy is centred around four pillars: achieving verified carbon neutrality; minimising our environmental impact; adopting an inclusive people strategy for our employees and those in our supply chain, and developing our ESG Governance to build strong foundations for a responsible business.

What is ESG, why is it important, and what is Mi Hub doing about it?

Sustainable Development Goals

Launched in 2015, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a framework which cover international priority areas including a broad range of social and economic development issues set through to 2030. The initiatives form a shared global agenda to tackle the world’s biggest global challenges on environmental improvement, equality, and social empowerment.

Mi Hub aligns our ESG strategy to 12 of the 17 SDGs that are most relevant to our business operations and the types of products that we manufacture.

We recognise our opportunity to build on the work we have been doing over the years by aligning our goals to the United Nations Guided Principals SDG’s.

We have taken ownership for our business impacts throughout our supply chain and have identified areas where our impact is the greatest. We have summarised the key activities that Mi Hub will take on in relation to tackling the 12 SDGs.
