Celebrating regional success at the Top 200 event

Mi Hub was delighted to join fellow organisations at the University of Derby’s Autumn Budget Reflection and Top 200 Derbyshire Businesses Celebration on Tuesday 2nd December, held at the Cavendish Building in Derby.

The event brought together business leaders from across the county, offering space to reflect on the Autumn Budget and discuss how national policy will influence Derbyshire’s economic landscape.

Attendees also had the opportunity to network over breakfast, explore the University’s coworking space, and hear insights from a strong line-up of speakers including:

  • Prof Kath Mitchell CBE DL, Vice-Chancellor, University of Derby

  • Scott Knowles, Chief Executive, East Midlands Chamber

  • Rick Blackmore, Director of Policy and Insight, East Midlands Chamber

  • Dr Eugene Michaels, Senior Lecturer in Economics, University of Derby

A panel discussion featuring leaders from Aztec Oils, Vaillant Group, MacMartin and Pektron Group explored opportunities and challenges facing Derbyshire’s businesses in the coming year, from skills and productivity to sustainability and regional investment.
